| Story: | Working at JC Penny was by far the worst job I ever had. I worked for them during Christmas time one year. We were so busy and didn't get any breaks. We also had our purses checked when we came in and left. You never knew what department they were going to put you in but the return department was the worst. One day someone brought back a huge sucker and I dropped it and broke it and my boss made me pay for it! Then about a week later I was in the back putting things away and I bumped into a table and a clay piggy bank fell over and broke. The boss told me I owed them $3.95. I didn't have it on me so they made me call my dad and he had to come in and pay for it before they let me leave! Now that I look back on it I'm sure the boss was just pocketing whatever money he made on unsuspecting high school kids that accidentally broke something. I was so glad when the Christmas season was over and I could quit! | |||||||||
