| Story: | I used to work for this party rental co. I worked the front desk and was responsible for the ordering. I had been there for 3 years and had done pretty well. One day I was ordering and putting together someones party rentals and it was a huge order. This was during the winter and a big seller was heating lamps. They had ordered a lot of heating lamps but for whatever reason they got dropped off the computer list and ended up on some other page. So we shipped off this order without the lamps and this house was over 1 1/2 hours away. When the people called my boss screaming about the missing lamps he had to put them in his own truck and drive them there himself and barely made it before the party started. On the way home his truck broke down on the freeway in heavy traffic. Needless to say he was gone for more than 5 hours and he spent the next day screaming at me. After working there for 3 years I should have known there would be lamps on the order so it WAS may fault. I thought for sure he was gonna fire me but he didn't. He should have though! I felt so awful, I was crying. That was a terrible day! | |||||||||
